Renter beware...
I have fallen victim to one of the oldest scams in the book... An organization that refuses to refund my security deposit (plus interest) without a fight.
I now find that a large number of former tenants have had to fight this very same battle. Especially those of us who have left the area. I guess they feel we'll just "go away" out of frustration.
I sure wish I would have known, before it has come to this.
One would think that Corn Hill Landing would in-fact hold itself to the same standards of integrity that they demand from their renters, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I have, on no fewer than six (6) occasions, tried to "work this out" via telephone and on six (6) different occasions I've been lied to regarding why I haven't received my refund as yet.
It is now comming-up on three months since I've vacated my apartment and it's now gone beyond the matter of money, into the realm of the mere principle of it all.
They have left me no recourse but to sue them in court.
