After contacting Grant University by computer for a grant to pay my medical bills, I would be charged $1.98 for a disc to get started for the application fee.
No other charges would be incured if I used the disc before 30 days was up.
The disc did not arrive untill 2 weeks after the 30 days and I was charged $69.95 electrically withdrawn from my account without my knowledge on 7/30/08
I then upon finding this out on my bank statement called and talked to an Adam (no last name) and was issued three cancellation numbers ;
CRB 7375399 ; CRB 7375397 ;CRB 7375398. Assuring me the account was closed.
Next person I talked with was Tom Wade on 08/01/08 and was informed at that time that my account was not closed and that he was closing it then and was contacting the corprate office to get my $69.95 refunded. Assuring me that I was going to be reimbursed and that my account was closed and to call him back in 5 business days to confirm that my account was closed and that the reimbursment of $69.95 was refunded.
I called at the alloted time and sat on the phone for one hour on 08/07/08 with no response. Again I called on 08/08/08 and waited on the phone 30 minutes, no response. Then again on 08/09/08 and waited another 45 minutes with no response. Each time trying to leave a voice mail that registed "full unable to receive anymore messages"
On Monday 08/11/08 I received a message on my answering machine from Jim Moore from Grant University stating that he was responding to my several e-mailings that had been sent and that my membership had been cancelled on 07/31/08. He also said that if I had any further questions or conserns to contact him at: 1-877-207-1615
I did call back concerning my $69.95 at the phone number he gave me and again to no response
Isn't it strange that the electrical withdrawal was made on 07/30/08 and Jim Moore had said that my account was closed on 07/31/08.
