'Advanced Business Services' called our business ostensibly to 'verify the address for information you requested'. They talked to an assistant cleaning person!
Next month, there was a charge of $49.95 on our AT&T phone bill. The contact number listed for this charge was something called 'ILD' at 800-433-4519.'ILD' said I would have to call 'Advanced Business Services' at 888-568-6362.
'Advanced Business Services' said they would issue a refund and cancel the (fraudulent) account in our name. I kept checking with AT&T and a credit *was* issued.
The next month, the credit appeared. So did a new charge for the exact same thing. I again phoned 'Advanced Business Services' who said: "when you called the first time a second charge had just gone out so we cancelled that one, not the first one. You can only get one credit by phone, you will have to write."
I have now faxed the number they gave me 727-461-7900 demanding a refund of $49.95 $3.75 in taxes. I furthermore demanded that they CEASE & DESIST ever putting charges on my AT&T phone bill for anything whatsoever.
I send a full report to the Florida Attorney General, the FCC, the State of California (my state) Attorney General's Fraud Unit, the CEO of AT&T, my county fraud investigator and all the local media I can think of.
What a scam!!!
