Here's one way:

1. Call the Consumer Protection Agency (619) 236-2471 in San Diego for further FREE legal advice to file a small claim court case.
2. Go to www.sdcourt.ca. Gov and print (or view) the procedure to begin proceedings and file the forms.

FYI, to file a claim is so very, very cheap! And if you have questions about the forms, call and they will walk you through the process once you have all the necessary paperwork off of the www.sdcourt.ca. Gov website. They even shared with me that you can request to conduct court via telephone mediation (for those who reside out of the area of San Diego).
