I ordered Zoysia plugs after much thought, but evidently not enough research. I went through the back-breaking installation of the plugs as described in the instructions. I had to get my teen son to help me it was so much work and this was a day before heart surgery.

I painstakingly watered the plugs each day, my son the day of and after my surgery. I have applied the correct fertilizer/special food bought from the company. Now, 2 months later, there is no growth on any of the plugs. Nothing.

Upon complaining of no progress to the company, they commenced to tell me they only guaranteed with replacement plugs. More back-breaking work, I just couldn't do it again.

Then all of a sudden, they come up with a special plan, just for my case.

This is the Rep.'s reply:
"The guarantee terms do not offer a refund of money.
Since you have indicated you prefer a cash settlement rather than a full replacement, I have been authorized to go beyond the published terms of the guarantee and make an exception in you case.instead of a replacement shipment, and to settle the matter, we offer to meet you half way. That is, we will send you a cash or credit card refund of one-half of your purchase price of the grass minus the shipping charges." *My special offer that others not happy with their product, have also gotten this "wonderful" deal.*

After paying $122 with the price of the grass, which arrived dead and brown, purchase of fertilizer/food that is now pretty useless (maybe it will make something else grow. It looks like "Miracle Grow"), I get a $39 refund. This is supposed to be half for the grass, minus the shipping.

This is pretty sorry customer service. They flout their praises from some people, but the people that complain are not heard from except on these forums. Mine is not the only one. There are 68 other complaints that I have seen online on this company, all ending the same way. People that don't want to go through the back-breaking work all over again and get only half back. They know this will happen, that is why they offer only 1/2 back.

The grass arrived dead. It never performed like they said it would. The guarantee is only plug for plug and you have to replant them. I now have bare spots in my lawn, which I will try to now use Turfs Alive III. Hopefully this will perform better and it costs a lot less than Zoysia. Never again. I will tell everyone I can, NOT to buy this product.
