The mortgage loan on our home was sold to Litton Loan Servicing several years ago by Temple Inland Mortgage (another rip off). When we purchased our home we had bad credit, but had no other choice.
Once we purchased it my husband became disabled. We got behind and attempted to catch up, but Litton would not cooperate with us at all. I had the money in hand to catch up, but Litton refused stating I did not have the attorney fees. So we filed Chapter 13 to reaffirm and keep our home. It has been a nightmare ever since. At least twice per year, Litton files because we are behind (we always will be until the bankruptcy is finished) They pay the new payment first then go from there. Every month they take pictures of my home and note it as inspection fees, and CHARGE me for it. This practice I am sure has to be illegal, and is a total invasion of my privacy. The reason I know they do this is an employee at Litton told me they had 100's of pictures of my home and described it to me over the phone. There is also other fees that they have not explained what they are. Everytime we contact them or our attorney no one will speak with us. It took 6 weeks to get a payoff amount - so at least I know how much we owe now. I had to request this in writing and send it Certified Registered mail to get an answer.
I received a letter Monday, July 14 - they are trying to take the house once again. What ticks me off worse than anything is now we owe more on our home, even though I have paid double payments on the house since May of last year, then when we purchased it. The practices I know are illegal, and I am not going to stand for this company to do this to me and my husband. I am not stopping until some legislation is brought against this company and their illegal practices. They are just hoping I mess up and miss a court date so they can take my home. When we go to court not one person from Litton ever shows up. I am tired, angry and just about had it with this company. I am contacting a higher government authority regarding these practices, and hopefully will be able to get something done about this. I feel if enough people get together and do something about this, it can be changed. This is illegal. I am not an uneducated person, I just graduated from college with an accounting degree, I am not stupid. If Litton thinks I am, they better think again. I will fight them, I will do something about these abuses practices. To pray on the poor, that are trying to have a home and take care of their family is not only illegal, it morally injust. Times are changing in this country, the economy stinks, but the government has to take care of it's people and not let this happen. If the need be, I will take this all the way to Congress and the House of Representatives, I am not backing down. Don't let Litton take your home, if they start foreclosure (which is going to ruin your credit) File Chapter 13, they cannot take it then, they must take the payments and the government then has the paper trail to show that you are making your payments and will make them answer in court. I will post any further action that I have sought and the responses I will get, so other people can do the same. Hang in there, and don't let them bully you around. They don't want your house, they want your money. The real estate market stinks, so what are they going to do with all these homes?
