My step dad died in February. We have a family member who owns a trophy and engraving shop and said he would do the marker with Jacks name and dates on it. (we did already pay Eternal Hills $195.00 to INSTALL the marker) Eternal Hills told my mom and I that we could go elsewhere to have this done, yet when we tried we were told that the *design and font* is copyrighted* and it CAN'T be done.
After 4 months of trying to get this done at my relatives shop, my mom was tiring of the effort & time involved. So we went back to Greg at Eternal Hills and asked the price for them to do it. We were quoted $799.00 for the name, a green line and under that the year he was born and year of death. We reluctantly agreed to this and Greg came over to get a check and fill out the paperwork. After he got there he told my mom there was a additional *fee* of $95.00 because we waited 4 months to order. He said he fought for us and checked with his supervisors but they would not do anything about it.
I am outraged that we have been put thru this. We should be able to get a grave stone marker at a store of our choice and then this added fee just added salt to our wounds.
