My fiance and I purchased a BBQ Island from Fantasy Islands in May. We never received our BBQ and are fearing that we lost our $2700 deposit. We also went to the sales office in Murietta (which is 65 miles away) and found the business abandoned. When we arrived at the business, the neighboring business informed us that about 18 customers had visited the site in the last two weeks - some losing upwards of $20,000. If you do the math, Fantasy Islands stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. I am looking into filing a lawsuit with the sales manager (Jorge Rocha), Fantansy Islands and the CEO.
For all of you out there - NEVER put down thousands of dollars as a down payment for something that needs to be delivered. Also, be warned about the illegal business practives of Fantasy Islands and its Sales Reps. We lost our deposit and are trying to figure out how we can get it back. We were informed by the Murietta Police that we have to take the matter to small claims court. To everyone else also rip offed by this company - good luck.
