Escape Midwest They scammed me out of $250 they called a 'Processing Fee' for their so called Software License

First I got a post card in the mail that I have won one of the following prizes: 1) Escalade 2)$1000 Cash, etc. I called the number and was told to go to Escape Northwest on Sonterra Blvd on a certain day an time.

The first time was on a Saturday and I didn't attend. They called me to see if I went but didn't call them back. Then about a month later I get a call telling me that I have won one of the following prizes: 1) Escalade 2) $1000 Cash 3) TV, etc. Well this time I went and they put you in a room with a TV playing old Johnny Carson shows until you are called one by one by one of the 'Sales People' where they give you the song and dance about them owing the world and they can send you anywhere you want to go for less then the Travel Companies.

Well I fell for their scam and signed the papers I didn't come to my senses until I got home and looked them up on the internet and found that there were other victims out there in San Antonio.

I started searching the net for the cncellation laws. I also looked at the paperwork I signed and found the Cancellation Policy. I typed up a cancellation letter and hand carried it to there office.

I get a letter from them a week later infoming me that they have already cashed my check and put it into there Corporate account and they now have to wait to verify the check was good before they will send me $150 of the $400 I gave them as a down payment since $250 of it was a non-refundable processing fee.

They are selling you a $4000 license to use there software to search for timeshares that you have to find transportation to get to.

This is a bigger rip off then the timeshare business is. At least in timeshare you know what your buying. With this company you don't realize you are purchasing a software license that you have to pay a maintenance fee for each year. And this is a company that bad mouths Time Shares and there maintenance fees being charged. There fees are no different.

If anyone evers see the name Escape Northwest or Global Escapes don't go you have to resist no matter how many times they call or send you postcards. Don't fall into the trap. Don't be a victim.
