Scared me into a payment settlement. I agreed, but havent paid

I sell on Ebay. I received an email from Ebay that one of my listings had been canceled. They stated that the trademark owner had demanded it be canceled.
It was canceled and never relisted. I then got an email from a "lawyer" stating that i was blatenly listing the item after being warned, and that I had 7 days to fax all sorts of information to them.
Needless to say, this scared me. I did phone the "lawyer" and was pressured into a settlement agreement. I havent paid yet, and don't know if I should.
I dont want to any thing illegal, but i dont want to be taken advantage of either.
I do have a copy of the agreement, which i emailed to a friend, and she told me about your services.
Do they have a leg to stand on?
