While on base at Camp Lejeune North Carolina, several Marines were approached to purchase magazines from two kids, they said it was to help them go to school, we were not given money amounts for said magazines and weren't told any money amount at all, they totally avoided telling us those details. They sold several of these phony magazine orders to several on base and then high tailed it out before we had a chance to ask questions or find out details. After which we read the fine print and found out that the subscriptions would be $65 each or higher and that they would give us three days to fill out the back of the order blank and get it in the mail to cancel the orders (of course with a fine for canceling too) these people are rip off artists and they send out kids to do their dirty work. We called the company and were told that we could cancel our orders and that the money wouldn't go through our banks for eight days, well another lie, they had it through into the electronic phase within ten minutes of taking the orders, so they don't allow you time to figure it out and stop the payments or cancel, so getting your money back might not be an easy thing. And from what I've read some people never even see the magazines at all. So beware of these people, if we find the ones that came onto base they will be picked up by security, but most likely they made a quick exit and won't be seen again..
