OnStar Subscriber Service
Fraudulent use of credit card

OnStar used my credit card that I had used when I purchased a new Cadillac CTs in October. The car is in both my husband's name and mine. The credit card that I used to activate the OnStar subscription is in my name alone. My husband and I have been married for 10 years; however, I had this card a number of years before we met. He is not even listed as a user on this particular credit card.

My husband purchased an Impala for his daughter shortly after we bought the Cadillac. All is good so far!

I reported my credit card lost in March. Much to my suprise I received a letter from OnStar on April 14 informing me that they needed another credit card to bill my subscription to; not only on my Cadillac but also on the Impala. I was shocked because I didn't know that they were billing my personal credit card, that had nothing to do with my husband or stepdaughter for these charges.

My husband contacted OnStar and they told him that they just took my credit card for her car because they already had it on file. This is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard of. I would not have even given a thought to paying for someone else's charges for OnStar. They should not be allowed to do this!!! It's straight ou fraudulent use of a credit card.

My husband contacted them again and a manager agreed to send me $223.40 in refund for the charges that were not authorized. Well, I received a check for $113.70. I'm sorry OnStar that's not good enough.

I reported them to the FCC and received a response from them. I wrote the person who sent me the letter on the Impala and informed him that this is not good enough. I want all my money back.

I would love to hear from others who have been scammed by this company. I know the money is minimal, but that still does not give them the right to take may credit card and use it for something that I did not authorize and would not have even caught if not for the fact that I reported my card lost.

I guess as busy working families, we don't pay enough attention to these monsters who prey on the fact that American's are all caught up in day-to-day life and don't have the time to scrutinize every little charge.

Please keep in mind that even though it's only $18.00 a month, if they bill you and thousands of others the same, they are getting rich from fraudulent activities that noone seems to want to get involved in.

There has to be an attorney out there somewhere who is willing to investigate and advertise and see how many Americans are getting ripped off by companies such as these. There has to be a principle somewhere here. I couldn't get away with using someones credit card for a mere dollar. These large corporations get by with it every day because they are predators. Not only are they predators, they want even hire an American to answer the phone or deal with customer service, but we are forced to live with it because noone is willing to take them on and stop these kinds of activities.

Please if there is anyone else out there in the same situation, contact me through whatever means usacomplaints.com will allow.
