Company asked SSN to apply one auto finance, instead applied for 10 (TEN) - BEWARE

I was inquiring for a new car (first buy) Salesman asked me to file a form (naturaly) for a credit check; I asked whether that will be only one or not; they told me it will be one inquiry only. Apparently, they have applied for TEN different credit lenders. Please BEWARE. Never believe in any word these people are saying.
