I authorized a payment of $2.95 for a report of freelance homewritting opportunities from Freelance Homewriters, as I see others have also done. As I read further, I was asked if I was interested in paying $49.95 for a membership (I believe) It asked if I agree with terms. I immediately, ex'd out of the site and DID NOT check "I agree". Within 7 days, my account was charged $49.95. I absolutely DID NOT authorize this payment.
To make matters worse, I did not receive a thing for the $2.95 or the $49.95. I have filed a report with the SE Fl. BBB. The website does not have a phone number and the one I got from the BBB website is no longer active. It forwards you to a 10-15-15 800 # but nothing happens. I suppose I am out $49.95 but I am hoping I can spare someone else. I will try to get help with my bank because I foolishly gave them my debit card number. DUMB!!!
I hope I do not see any further charges.
