Fails to Pay as promised!

I have the same story as those that I read here... Only with a few exceptions.
I joined Data Processors as a Free member toward the end of February of 08. I joined after reading on a message board where someone had gotten paid from them and took their word it was a reputable site. They never gave me the option to be paid by Paypal, actually their agreement read that they were only able to send checks at this time.

I decided to stay a "free" member and only make $2.00 a survey because I thought I would wait until they paid me before becoming a free member. I joined as a paid member on March 20 after someone I knew decided to become a gold member and make 10.00/survey. I should have held my patience a little longer.in April they changed regime and put up a website and stopped sending email confirmations of how much I earned... instead my earnings were updated on their website. They sent me emails stating: "Don't worry you will get paid".

On May 18th, 2 days before day # 60 they stopped sending me daily assignments. I inquired as to why and I received a reply from Tina that they were looking into it. I emailed them on the 19th, 20th, and 21st with no reply. Today the 22nd, after I pled with them to communicate with their gold members, they emailed me the following:

Hello,

Your check was put into the mail. We are still doing a lot of trying to figure out why you are are not receiving any assignments. As soon as the technical department has figured out why they will contact you. Please note that the technical depart is very busy, so they are unable to always get to you as quickly as you would like.

Thank you,
Data Processors

Flabbergasted for sure! THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT THEIR GOLD MEMBERS?

I only know too well know that this is a scam. If they had truly mailed the check, they would have referenced a date that it was sent... And probably would have told me to allow the postal service 7-10 business days to deliver it. Who on earth do they have working in their technical department? It is NOT that hard to figure out why I am not getting my assignments... If they could respond via email to my inquiries, they could have just as easily sent me an assignment right there on the spot.

As I see similar stories here on the web... I know now not to expect payment. I would like my compensation... Yet what burns me the most is that I told others about this website.
