I offer the same exact story clear across the board.in my case, I needed to make some money from home, while recuperating from an injury and care-taking an elderly parent. Started out with Data Processors at the end of February for $2.00 a survey just to see if it was legit. Seemed okay, and after every survey a confirmation would pop up saying "Congratulations, you just earned $2! If you were a Gold Member, you could be earning $10 per survey" or something to that effect.
At this point I roughly earned enough (I thought) to just plunk down the $24.95 and become a Gold Member in March. I have to laugh, because at that time I heard from them plenty. Paid the funds through my PayPal account, and when they didn't receive it at first I got two to three semi-frantic emails from Amanda saying they didn't receive the money yet, I wasn't a Lifetime Gold Status member yet, and to please register again on this link: http://dataprocessors.org/gmsignup.htm.
I don't know if this receipt will help anyone to track them down, but here it is:
Your PayPal payment by bank transfer to [email protected] for $24.95 USD has been processed and automatically credited to the PayPal account of the payment's recipient. Thus, this transaction is completed.
After Data Processors got their hands on the funds I received this email:
Congratulations, you are now a Gold Member. THIS EMAIL CONTAINS YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT.
Your first assignment is to add our email address to your email contact list, and to your "allowed" list. This will always ensure that you will receive your assignments and be able to earn $10 each for them.
We suggest that you always use this email address to contact us because this email address is exclusive to only our Gold Members.
You will start receiving your paid assignments right away. Your first one should be sent to you today. If you have not yet received it, you may want to check your spam folder.
If you do not receive any assignments from us, please contact us by email so that we can find out why. Also, if you ever have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask us.

Lovely! So I proceeded in earnest doing my 1-2 assignments a day as thoroughly as I possibly could, even picking up on typos (as they suggested I look for things that would make the survey website better). The on Monday, April 14, I receive this email from them:

I wrote to them trying to understand what was going on. They claimed they were under new management, but not to worry, they were tracking everything and I would be paid after 60 days from registering as a Gold Member (which boiled down to last week). There was also some confusion on my part as to how to get into the new site and register, and that had been another question in my email to them. I received this response:

Now here comes the kicker! Just like nearly everyone else states, two, three, maybe four days before my anniversary date to get paid (May 27) assignments stopped coming. I wrote to them wondering what had happened... Obviously to no response. I've tried contacting them four times now in the last few days. Nothing. Same exact M-O. I'm thinking this is not only an unethical rip-off scam, but wouldn't some consider it illegal?
I smiled when I read somewhere that people were going to go for a class action suit and sue them... Yet at the same time... Where are they? I myself have no idea. If anyone out there has the capability of pulling this one off... Count me in! I have a neighbor that's a Police Sargent (lucky me, huh?) and he suggested to have the FBI research it. Do they do stuff like that??? I just noticed on their site that they are suddenly affiliated with Better Work at Home Business Bureau (www.BetterWorkAtHomeBusinessBureau.com). Whaaaatttt??? Where did they come from, and have they ever heard the expression "a day late, and a dollar short?"
It seriously seems like a terrible injustice to just let go of, especially in these troubled times where most Americans are just trying to keep their heads above water. Blows my mind that these carpetbaggers are still out there flim-flamming innocent people who are looking for a way to make a legal buck and are willing to put in the work for it.
Anyone else that's been scammed by them... My hat's off to ya, if you can nail them. Despite all the glamour of the "Shawshank Redemption", I hear prison sucks.
