The Cowtown flea market in Woodstown, NJ is filled with vendors who are selling counterfeit merchandise. Whatever you are looking for - counterfeit Kate Spade bags, fake Coach bags, fake Gucci merchandise, Lius Vitton counterfeit bags, counterfeit clothing of all types, counterfiet shoes. The only thing that wasn't counterfiet at the Cowtown market may have been the food! In addition most of the vendors do not collect sales tax nor do they have a tax license when you ask them to show you their tax license. People who don't collect the required sales tax also probably don't report their income to the government nor do they pay taxes.
Managements attitude is "so what" to the counterfeit merchandise - they would lose 90% of their vendors and hence income if they banned counterfeit merchandise. NJ could gain a lot of income by collecting the tax on the sale of this counterfeit merchandise as sales were brisk when I last visited the Cowtown flea market. The sale of counterfeit merchandise at the Cowtown flea market hurts legitimate businesses as well as contributes to higher taxes by the State as they lose out on income that is not reported by the vendors.
I would like to be able to go to a flea market and buy legitimate merchandise rather than be faced with table after table after table of counterfeit merchandise and dishonest vendors. Please do not buy counterfeit merchandise. It hurts us all.
