My son ordered a weight bench last year on-line. Received the weight bench & a little while later a Flex magazine showed up (just one issue - thought it came with the bench) along w/one issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Then a Sports Illustrated mag started coming regularly. I can only guess that I didn't check the charges on my credit card last year & was charged without my authorization. I imagine my son signed up for free magazines when he ordered the bench & they then charged my card for the mags. Well I was looking @ my credit card statement today & it appears that I am being charged for these 3 magazines again. Renewal subscriptions? No one asked me & I did NOT authorize them to bill my credit card.
I never authorized a life time subscription to these magazines much less the original subscription. What a scam! I tried calling the numbers on my statement & I can't get a live body @ TWC. Why bother? I called my credit card company along with disputing the charges by e-mail with them. I have told them NOT to pay these 3 charges. We never wanted these magazines, only got one copy of the Flex & the Rolling Stone mag last year & never read the Sports Illustrated (flimsy little mag). My next step is to have my credit card cancelled & re-issued w/a different number. I can't believe they are allowed to get away with this.
