The Ticket Clinic
Anyone can do what they did and save their money. It cost me $239.95. Ouch

Quote from http://www.theticketclinic.com/services.html

"CAN YOU BEAT MY TRAFFIC TICKET?
The Miami Herald called the Ticket Clinic "master of traffic technicalities." In nearly every state, there are rules governing the way an officer may write a ticket, how the speed measuring device is calibrated, (radar, laser, vascar, paceclock) and rules regarding "speed traps". The lawyers at the Ticket Clinic and affiliates know these rules inside and out.in many cases, the mistakes the officer make will result in a dismissal of the charges."

I was charged $89.95 by the ticket clinic.
I was charged $150.00 in court fees and fines.

Below is the text from an email I sent to The Ticket Clinic with no response. I feel like I received no value from there services. (I could have done what they did myself.) I also feel that with my evidence that I could have had the case dismissed myself.

I am not satisfied with the work performed for my case. I am requesting my money back. You may not legally owe it to me but your "Can you beat my traffic ticket?" section is misrepresentative of the work actually performed. I am prepared to fully disclose what REALLY happened in my case. I am great at designing websites and getting google hits. I will scan and post all my documentation for everyone to see that this clearly should have been dismissed.

What happened. The lawyer simply plead not guilty on my behalf and then took a plea bargain or got there and pleaded no contest. I could have done that myself and gotten the exact same results.

My lawyer did not contact me or keep me notified. This case should have been fought. I submitted info with my initial request on why I was not guilty of what was on the ticket. Nothing was done to follow up or get supporting documentation.

On the date/time of the ticket, I was not in possesion of the car that was ticketed. I was in a different car in a flash flood that hit Boynton Beach.

Also, The officer who wrote the ticket, wasn't even working that night. If he wasn't at the location of the ticket written, and I wasn't at the location either, and I hadn't even rented the car until the following day, then how could I be guilty of the infraction on the ticket? The ticket simply states information that is not true.

The lawyer should have presented this information and had the case dismissed. I could have gone myself and had it dismissed. The fact that the lawyer didn't, and clearly treated this like every other guilty case is not acceptable.

Please refund my money, I also wouldn't mind getting the 150 that I now owe the court too. I shouldn't owe them anything. This is not how your website described what would happen. This lawyer didn't fight at all.

That was my email to The Ticket Clinic.

They simply plead none guilty. Then went to court and plead no contest. Then they got no point, no school, and a reduced fine. The courts do this to save the courts time. Anyone can do this for free. The Ticket Clinic does it for $89.95. That's a RIPOFF. Save yourself the money and do it yourself and get the same results. My experience is that The Ticket Clinic just takes your money and shows no interest in your case.

I stated that I had evidence and nobody ever contacted me to get it or to ask me additional questions about my case.

Did The Ticket Clinic plead not guitly at the Hearing?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic try my case before a judge?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic see if the officer would appear in court?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic see if they could produce proof that I had commited the offense?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic point out that I had evidence that I was stuck in a flood driving another vehicle at the time of the ticket?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic point out that the officer was not working at the time of the ticket?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic point out that the officer was not at the location of the ticket at the time of the ticket?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic point out that the rental car was being rented by someone else on the date of the ticket?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic point out that the rental car was not rented by me until the day after the ticket was issued?
NO.

Did The Ticket Clinic simply point out these errors and have the ticket dismissed?
NO.

In my experience The Ticket Clinic simply processed me through like a number and took my money, thinking that I wouldn't know that they didn't do anything extra that I couldn't have done myself. There "experience" with traffic tickets doesn't do any good if they don't do anything to fight the case or have the ticket dismissed.

There is no way that the officer could have proved that I commited the offense at the time and date that the officer issued the ticket. I simply wasn't at the location, or in the car, and the officer wasn't there either. Plus, I had plenty of documents to back up where I was, and that I was in another vehicle at the time.

This case should have been dismissed but instead I had to pay $239.95. That's more than my original fine.
What a RIPOFF.
