On 3-13-08 I was checking my bank account online and noticed some charges I know I did not make. I have a habit of checking my account every couple of days especially when I have been using my credit card out of town or on the internet. One charge was for 5.97 to Altrextend 888-259-7075 then on 3-15-08 another charge for 49.41 to Extnzeal 866-752-4884 at my age I do not need to extend anything so I immediately called my bank and canceled the card. I informed them of the situation and would get back to them when I got some answers from the company involved.
I called the numbers listed and they informed me that I needed to email a request for calcellation and refund. This I did thinking they were legitimate. I waited a week since I was out of town.
On 3-25-08 I called again to follow up and was informed I would not recieve any refund as they had not recieved their product back. I asked how in the world I could send anything back as I had not ordered the product in the first place, that someone had gotten my credit card number and ordered form them.
On my first call to them they gave me a name and phone number of the person who supposedly ordered the product. I called the number and it turned out to be a cell phone number of a person in a different state than the name and adress given.
Upon reading what they are doing to others I would not doubt they are hacking into some data bases and getting credit card numbers and doing to others what they have done to me. Most people probably would not even notice what was going on. As with me they would test to see if the small amount clears then make the larger charge later. If you do this enough times it mounts up to quite a lot of money. Just thought others would want to know.
