"New" Manager Extremely rude manager asks, "Why does it matter?" after spending over $200.00 with her store!

My fiance and I went to Virginia Center Commons Mall on February 10 to order my wedding band for our up coming wedding. We found the one that we loved and we paid cash and was set to come in in 3-4 weeks.

About 3 and a half weeks goes by, and I haven't received a call that my ring had come in, so I call. They said my ring had not come in yet, but it should be in no later than March 10. So, I said okay. Well I called back today (March 7) so that I can pick it up this evening in case I couldn't make it over the weekend. I called and a gentleman answered the phone and told me that it had come in. I asked when it had come in, because I never received a call that it had arrived. He said he didn't have that information in front of him but would find out if I wanted. At that moment, it didn't matter, I was just glad it had come in, so I got off the phone.

I decided a few minutes later that I was curious as to when it had come in to see if it was any need to speak with the manager about not getting a call because its a wedding band and I need it ASAP. Well I call and a lady answers the phone and said it was in and that she was a new manager and had just started the previous Thursday, so she wasn't sure what was going on and could look through all the paperwork to see when it had come in, then she asks..."Well, why does it matter?" The manager of Friedman's Jewelers asked me why it matters when my ring came in. The fact that no one called me to let me know it had come in matters! The fact that as soon as we give you our money you don't care about the customer service you provide matters! The fact that its a wedding band and you don't know when my wedding is and it could be very time sensitive matters! The fact that the customer has to call in to see if the ring has come in instead of the promised phone call from the sales person from when you made a purchase with their company matters!

Extremely poor customer service from a "new" manager. I can't believe this manager gave me the attitude and rudeness to a customer who just spend a lot of money with her company and she's going to ask ME why it matters when the ring came in?!?! I would suggest NEVER using this Friedman's Jeweler's and I can guarantee you I am never using ANY Friedman's Jeweler's. It's ridiculous how drastically the customer service level drops after they have your money.
