My parents and I both have Sierra Propane service. My parents have had their service since they opened in 1983 and I have been a customer for the last 2 years. Well here is what happened to us last month: We both live on the same street so we get our propane at the same time. We both also have heaters that run soley on propane as well as our stoves and hot water heaters. We were both down to 10% in our tanks so we went to Sierra Propane to pay to have our tanks filled. This was on a thursday, and Sierra Propane said that we were on the list to have our tanks filled the next day. Well friday came and went and they did not come and fill our tanks. Now keep in mind we live in the white mountains of arizona and at this time the temperature was in the 20's. Well needless to say by monday we were both almost out of propane and so we called to make sure we were on list that day to have our tanks filled. They assured us that our tanks would be filled that day. About 1:00 that afternoon we saw the truck in our neighborhood but guess what? They never stopped at either of our houses! Finally I phoned Sierra Propane at 4:00 and they informed me that they drivers had gone home early because there was snow on the ground. When I asked why they didn't stop while they were driving around our neighborhood, they receptionest simply told me they had other more important customers in our area that needed to have their propane filled.By then I was out of propane and she told me it was my own fault, I should've called before I was so low. I was extremely upset at this point and asked to speak with the mananger, and of course "he wasn't in". So I left a message which still hasn't been returned. They filled my propane the next day and then charged me for a pressure test because I ran out even though it was their fault. There is only one other propane provider in town and since Sierra has a big customer base I guess they don't really care if people freeze. They will fill your tank when its convienant for them.
