I responded to a tv ad on 1/15/05 by calling (800) 815-7140 because i was in need of a computer. I realize it was a costly transaction but this was the only way i could purchase a computer "without any credit checks" as the ad stated. I provided the representative all the vital info to initiate the transaction - name/address/ss#/bank account info. Soon after, biweekly deductions started. $1100.00 later, on 3/8/07, i changed the order to a laptop computer with the same biweekly deduction but on a shorter term (7 biweekly payments) to complete the purchase. On oct i logged into their website - myfai.com - to check the status of my order. The report showed outstanding balance - zero. I called their customer service dept the next day to obtain shipment date. The representative informed me the item will be shipped within 10 weeks from the paid off date - on 11/11/07. $1871.48 later, the shipment never came. I have tried logging to their website several times but the site showed "under construction". I have also tried to call all the numbers available for this company but it's been disconnected. A complaint has been filed to the department of consumer affairs in effort to recover the monies i've lost. I'm just waiting for the outcome of that complaint. Everytime i see a ups truck i hoped and prayed that it would stop in front of my house - it never did. The computer was supposed to be a christmas present for my husband. Well, christmas 2007 came and went - nothing! I want my money back! I will do all i can to get it!!
