I signed up in August. Saw terms and conditions decided to cancel. Called Maximum Platinum customer service to cancel, was told that activitation fee was nonrefundable. Accepted that loss.in October, my bank notified me that Maximum Platinum had electronically requested $49.99 again for an activation fee. Called Maximum Platinum customer service to verify my cancellation calls from September and October.
As of today, Maximum Platinum have sent me an email saying "thanks for signing up" (which I did not) and they were going to contact my bank to withdraw $49.99 from my checking. I will be calling them to cancel again and advise them to take me off of their mailing and email notifications list.
Maximum Platinum rips off consumers. After the initial activation fee, you receive your account information and card. Within this information is a clause telling you that a $14.99 monthly fee will be withdrawn from you account every month.
Please help to stop this company from ripping off me and more American consumers.
