I recently went to a bridal expo back in September (My first one ever). I didnt know that signing my name to a bunch of forms would get me millions of phone calls about winning some free trip. Shortly after me and my roommate got back, I received a phone call from Simplicity Brides about winning some free trip, and some kind of camera. All I had to do was go to this cooking show with my fiance. A little while later my roomate got the same exact phonecall. What are the chances that me and my roomate both won a free trip? (Shady)... After we picked what day we wanted to go to this cooking show, I instantly went online and google Simplicity Brides. One of the option to pick was "Simplicity brides scam". So I clicked it, thank god before i went to this cooking show, and read about everyones troubles with them.
I called back the same number that they called me from and cancelled the cooking show that they had me scheduled for. I asked the gentleman to put me on the DNC List (Do not call), he assured me he had done so, and I asked him for an email or confirmation number stating that he has done so, He told me that I did not need one. So I took his word for it.
About a week later I got a call from Simplicity brides again, asking me how I enjoyed the show that I went to? I reassured them that i had cxl that show, and they werent suppose to call me because i had asked to be on the dnc list. The lady apologized, and said she was not aware that my number was on it. (Looks like the gentleman i talked to didnt do his job properly) The lady said she would make note of my number (Yeah right). I called back the number and demanded to speak to a manager (Jamie), i explained to her that i did not want them calling me, i had no interest in buying anything, and that i WANTED an email confirming that she did this. Jamie took down my number, and my email address, and assured me that she was going to do this right away.
An hour later, i get another phone call, I instantly ask to speak to a manager. Surprise Surprise i get Jamie. I told her that i just received another phone call, she tells me she has nooooo idea how that happened, i tell her if i receive another phone call that i will be contacting my lawyer. She apologizes again, and i thought that was it.
A month later i get another phone call from good old Simplicity brides, i explain to this lady she is not suppose to be calling me, she asks me why? Well because i'm suppose to be on the DNC list, and she says "well you didnt talk to me." And she hangs up.
I call back ask for the manager again (I'm done being nice), the lady transfer me to some fake extension because it rang and rang and rang. I called back asked again, i get transfered to some lady saying "hello". I asked if she was the manager, she said well "no", "kindof". I told her that i needed a manager. She thinks she puts me on hold but she doesnt, i hear everything she is saying, and then i get hung up on! Again!!! Frustrated i call back ask to speak to a manager, I get JAMIE! I said im pretty sure i talked to you last time i had a problem. I asked to be put on the dnc list, and also to get a email stating that you have done so. NOTHING WAS DONE! She told me she has nooo idea how it happened because they werent even calling my area code. I told her well they did, and that im sick and tired of this. That their are laws against this, she said that they knows this and she apologizes greatly. She asked for my email AGAIN, told me she was going to send me something right away. An hour later i got another phone call. 2 more phone calls the next day also. I believe that now they are doing this out of spite.
