Like many in our area we called 1-800-approved to try for a new car. An appointment was set to meet w / a dealer rep. To explore our options.
We chose to test drive a '98 Cavalier. As they like to do - the salesman was telling us of all the features, and also noted the 'quality sound system' as he turns it up for departure. Little did we know at the time, the sound happened to conveniently muffle the rattling sound from the front axle (more-or-less eventually sounding like the front wheels are about to fall off). Not knowing of underlying defects of the car we felt comfortable w / our decision & began signing more paperwork (6.5 hours later).
Apon leaving the lot we were told the back shop was quite busy that day and they were unable to detail our new car, therefore asking to reschedual when we returned the following week. I had also asked for the plates off of my trade-in, since they were lock-nut bolts, they had to be cut off. As stated before, too busy.
