Complaint / Review
Foxtons
90 % Of our employees have NO Real Estate Experience

I am a full time Realtor with 4-5 years experience and was told that Foxtons provides Health benefits. I decided to go and interview with them and would like to share that experience with you.

I gave them a call and they gave me a brief and very unprofessional telephone interview. The girl who was conducting the interview was just so out of her league she should probably be working in a Burger King. While I was on the phone with this so called recruiter I was told that 90% of Foxtons employees had NO Real Estate Experience. I was then told to fax a resume to them for review. After receiving my resume Foxtons then asked me to fill out an application and asked me to come in for an interview.

When I arrive I was brought into a very large room with very load music blasting and was told that these were the people that do all the prospecting for the agents that are in the field. Then I was brought into a conference room and was told that someone would be with me shortly.

After a short wait I was introduced to a man who would be conducting the interview and soon learned that everything is not what it had appeared to be. The man would use the words F*ck and A*ole fluently in conversation and I found this to be very strange but tried not to let this distract me. The interview took a little over an hour and I thought it went extremely well.

Below are a few things I did learn about Foxtons.

Foxtons advertises that they provide you with a salary of $30,000. But I was told this is only for the first four months and then it goes to $20.000.

Foxtons advertises that they provide you with Health and Dental benefits, But I was told it's a 50/50 split with them. I had asked them for the price and was told I really don't know.

Foxtons advertises a company car but somehow forgets to tell you that you have to provide the Gas.

Foxtons advertises Bonus / Commission but when I had asked them to break it down for me it was so confusing that even as an experienced Real Estate Agent had troubles figuring it out.

Foxtons wants you to work six days a week and they give you one weekend off a month. This I had no problem with but I just thought I would share it with you.

Foxtons advertises paid vacations, but was not able to provide me with the amount of days per year.

A few days after my interview I received a call from Foxtons and was notified I did not get the position. I was told I was BEAT OUT. I asked them to Please go into detail and again was told I had been BEAT OUT. I said I really do not understand the term Beat Out and would like to know the reason or reasons why I had not been chosen. I really wanted to know why I did not get the job. I meet all the requirements and have more than enough experience in Real Estate. I was never given an answer and was told that they were sorry but I had just gotten Beat Out.

I would like others with experiences like this one to share them with us. I would have never made that first call if someone had warned me about this.
