Wrongly accused of hitting member's child

I am an older female and was working at Sam's in pooler, Ga for almost a year. I was at work early and always set for the day. I demonstrate products for distributors. Sometimes it is food and sometimes it just cleaning products or for hygine.

On this day I was demonstrating three kinds of cheese. The day went pretty well untill about four in the afternoon. My Supervisor and another associate came over to me and ask if I would go with them, I said "sure, but what's going on?" She told me that our store manager would like a word with me because a member stated I had hit their child. I stated "What! I had not even touched anyone let alone hit them." We went to the office where she told me that one member said I had struck their child and another one swore she seen it. I was getting upset but I said If you look at the security camera's I can prove I didn't do it. I also stated "If that was me and someone had struck my child, I would have went over and asked them did you strike my child and raised a lot of he—."

I asked the associate who was in the room with us "have you ever recieved a complaint about me, no just always good things so I am sure that if you just look at the security camera's you will see that I am inocent." (The acting store manager was from Florida and only been their for three weeks, so she did not know me.) She stated I was guilty if I did it or not. I was very angry after that. I stated "Woman are you hearing what I am saying?" She stated "If you disrespect me again your fired." I stated "ask me if I care?" then she stated she was going to write me up for this incedent, I stated don't bother I quit. Walked to clean out my locker gave her my badge and left before I said something, or did something I was going to reget.

Things went on and I returned to the store to shop as a member. I have been their four times and now I find out that Jan the acting manager sent in to the company that I had stated I did in fact hit the child, and that is on my record and why I am having trouble getting another job.
