For the record, my story is about abusive and bullying behavior of the Manager of Glendale Apartment in Fayetteville, Arkansas, 72701 Mrs. Anne Knight. Allow me to say that I truly love Glendale Apartment Complex. I moved there in April. For beginning, I have enjoyed to live there, in fact, Unfortunately I found that I am no longer comfortable in this establishment because of the ruthless and self-serving behavior of the Manager Mrs. Anne Knight. I was forced to move out of there, and ripped off by the same person while I left it.
I think it's a tragedy when an obnoxious manager is allowed to interfere with the daily lives of the tenants. The tactics of such managers is so called Creative Incompetence which is employed to clarify their corruption and incompetence. Well, on or about May Mrs. Anne Knight begin her intimidation games against me by asking from me $200.00 which, as she explained, I owe her for helping me to move from different state to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
I have moved from different state to Arkansas. And we were talking long distance several times. Than I have sent my deposit to her over the mail. But I never expected that she doing it for money, I thought that she is doing her job only. I smiled with her, as if she said a joke. But a moment later I have realized that she was not joking because of the phrase she said to me - I hope you leave a lot of money in your apartment, when you drop dead -
Since then I was experience her the bullish tactics used against me every time she have a chance to see or talk to me.in fact, sometimes the reason to contact me have been created by her for purpose to intimidate me again and again. Several times she ruthlessly had have banging my door in order to say something, which were completely irrelevant to her managerial duties. I was forced to ask her to communicate with me only by sending me notes.
Asking her to communicate with me by writing was not good enough. She developed a habit every time she was passing by, she yelled at me with inappropriate tone of voice as if I was guilty of something. It was really embracing to hear. I've been asked by Mrs. Anne Knight to fill out the report of the rooms conditions. I named all problems before I have moved in there, including a large stain on a carpet. Asking her for a copy I have been told that I will be pay for all these problems.
The list of her outrageous behavior can go on and on. There are several tenants that I know have been harassed by her and droved out of apartments. One of them, was escorted out of promises, for as she stated harassing others. Everyone knew that she is fabricated the case against him, and trough him out to retaliate for been her ex-lover. At the same time a bunch of ex-criminals recently moved in. You can see fights, hear arguments, police cars coming in and out. Nothing was done about it.
This winter a new heater was not working for four very weeks, until I have called main office and complained about it. Heater was fixed for a day or two. And then another two weeks without heat. It was not fixed and it is not working now. She never called the contractor because as I have been told she have gotten kick back about $10 000 from the contractor. The cost of the new HEATER/AC unit is $130 thousand. They did not do the job right and through the manager about $10 000 to keep her mouth shot.
Tenants are afraid to come to her office. They know about retaliation history of Mrs. Anne Knight. Nobody want to face the problems of been harassed and ripped off by her. The new maintenance lady walking her dog two, three times a day. She can not say no, do not want to loose her job. When I moved out of Glendale Apartment in Fayetteville, Arkansas, I got ripped of for my security deposit $250.00 and I've got a letter from her that on top of that own $367.00. Ten days to pay the bill or she will turn it over to collection agency or lawyer.
No explanations. No details, Just pay or else!!! Apartment was inspected OK, all bills paid. Just give them money she wants or else!!! I am really surprised what those so called businessmen made out of the old United States of America.
