Laci had steady employment from May through March making $16 an hour and working 40 hours a week. During her tenure with said employer, she often came up with false excuses for her continued absence and tardiness, usually using her daughter as the scapegoat.
Laci consistently skipped work on Mondays so that she could spend time with her boyfriend, and Tuesdays she reported to work with new clothing all the time. Designer, brand-name clothing — especially Baby Phat. She also bought a T-Mobile Sidekick II full price and bragged about this often.
Although she received monetary support for "general welfare" as well as food stamps from the State of Louisiana, she always had sufficient cash on hand to get lunch out with her co-workers, usually spending $12-15 per lunch including tip. She also received funding to put her daughter in a State day care program, but Laci's mother took care of the child 5 or 6 days a week.
About one month before she was relieved of her job with said employer, Laci verbally requested her supervisor to falsify documentation to enable her to receive some of these benefits (particularly rent assistance and child care). Since Laci's supervisor would not do so, Laci began choosing her own hours and working less than 20 hours per week in an attempt to VOLUNTARILY meet the maximum income eligibility cutoff.
Her coworkers made numerous attempts to intervene and asked her to get off of these State-run programs she was using fraudulently, but she continued to stay on the programs. Much of the time she was at work, she was on the phone with a friend or boyfriend bragging about her abilities to get around the system.
She has been receiving benefits for roughly two years now and openly talks about it. She is the perfect example of someone who takes advantage of programs our tax dollars pay for; programs which have the good intent to temporarily assist parents down on their luck. Laci is using these government programs as a permanent solution even though she is ineligible for them.
Laci has been reported to the State of Louisiana for fraud but this report is being filed on usacomplaints.com in hopes that more people who know liars like Laci will get the strength to report these losers.
