I was deceived into taking a survey that required about one hour of my time. I had to agree to a set of rule which i did and then I never received the software and they charged my credit card for three items I did not know I authorized. And now I am getting phone calls and junk mail from companies that they obviously have told I was interested.
I do not think they broke any laws rather they gathered all this information from me and passed it on to multiple partners. I was able to get them to refund my money and found out that all the funds were drawn from the same business.
The point is that once they had my email address and phone number they passed it along and although I did not lose any money I have been bothers consistently by telemarketing and emails - the junk email I am getting is ridiculous.
