Here are some signs this thing is a fake... I was totally gonna send in the money too... But then I stumbled across this site and other people had experienced the same thing. Thanks for the heads up! I spent that 20 dollars towards a lovely night out with my darling boyfriend.:)
*What sort of legit company sends the "first class report" to a P. O box? There is no physical address, aka no company to print out and process these letters of winning.
*The thing that got me at first was that I had called them and entered the contest twice before. This is definitely partnered with a telemarketing scam. You call the number, they try to sell you things, but you end up being entered in anyways when you dont buy the crap... WHY THEN DOES IT ASK YOU TO SEND IN $19.99 when you can just have it deducted from your winnings?
*It says you have not yet won... And that by sending in this money you recieve the "win opportunity". Has anyone sent it in, and what does that mean? I was willing to send in the mone just to find out.
*Also, did you find it funny that you can send in cash as your method of payment? Isn't it illegal to send cash in the mail?!
*There was no fine print on the letter, no email or contact number... Not even an email address so that I could go check this company out!
It looked extremely legit. However, it just proves that crooks are getting smarter. I really wish this thing was real though... I am a struggling college student and could have used that money.:)
