These people continued to call my cellphone to let me know that I'd been entered in a drawing for $25,000. The offred me a 4yr magazine subscription of 6 different magazines for $24.99 a month for 25 months, with my last 35 months free & I would be receiving a mens/womens diamond crusted watch for subscribing!
I let them know numrous times that i couldn't afford it @ the current time, but i was interersted. I was told that my card wouldn't be accepted if the funds weren't available & i wouldn't be billed until 10/1/06. That was a complete lie.
I checked my balance the next day & I was overdrawn. I tried to call the number I was given today (9/25/06) & it was the wrong number. I don't know what else to do but to let my financial institution know what happened, close my account ASAP & deal with this company when it tries to make another withdrawal from the closed account.
Can anyone give me some advice as to what I can further do or how to avoid this in the future?
