I bought some beef from a door-to-door salesman. He came in a truck with the business name on it. He promised me a crate was about 45 pounds. The meat looked good, so I talked down the price from its outrageous heights and bought a crate for $145. I made the check payable to the salesman personally as he requested. He loaded my freezer and took the box it came in.
That night I weighed the meat and it came to just 23 pounds. I guess I'm dumb for not seeing that it wasn't what he said, but I couldn't tell. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Justice, since they don't return phone calls and they do have MANY complaints against them already. Sounds like they usually make it right after they get a letter from the department of justice.
What a rip-off.
