The Journal News introduced a forum discussion board a few months ago. As time went on it became evident that there was one individual that was using it for their own personal playground to find out personal information on people and engage them in debates that usually ended up in arguments that ended up in name calling and slander.
It became very clear that one person with a lot of time on their hands was creating multiple member names and having chats with themselves back and forth. They would be men, women, you name it, this person pretended to be multiple individuals.
After an Instant Message chat with this one person, it became very clear that this person is unbalanced and should be steered clear from because of their twisted thinking and racist ideas.
As it turns out, this person began to take personal information compiled from my posts and put up the most vulgar, slanderous and disgusting threads about me. I was being portrayed as a S&M participant, a slut, a dealer of prescription drugs, described as SATANIC and most of all, they said I was being investigated by the FBI in White Plains and would be arrested shortly.
After sending several emails to the managing Editor Tony Davenport and a person named Mary Farrell who was supposed to be the Site administrator for the forum, I got no response to the request to have these obscene lies about me removed at once.
Only after contacting a man name Howard Rubin in the circulation department and demanding that my subscription to this newspaper be stopped immediately did anything happen.
My access to my member names on this site were BANNED without any explanation and it was impossible for me to register a new one to participate. Then, my computer at home was banned from even getting access to the forum site. When signing on to this site at a remote location, I still see vulgar posts about me remaining up although the most hideous ones have been deleted.
What does this lead me to believe? It makes me come to the conclusion that the managing Editor of this newspaper has nothing better to do with himself all day than create fictitious members to engage people in debates to support his twisted and sick thinking.
He is a racist who hates minorities, he hates gay people, immigrants and wants to hunt down pedophiles. Anyone that comes in his way gets blasted with his nastiness and eventually gets terminated from being able to post and even access the forum at all.
He feels that he can run rampant and say whatever he feels because he hates his life, his job and most importantly HIMSELF. He has to obey all the "rules" of ethics as an Editor of a print journal but he feels he can cut loose and be as raunchy as he likes on the Internet. And after all. What newspaper is going to report on his dirty deeds? Certainly not his own newspaper.
My advice to everyone is to stay out of the Journal News forum boards. Because when you cross. Antonio, Tony, Anthony... He will lie about you and try to make you go away with these childish tactics. He must be so bored and miserable at his job that he dedicated hours to ranting on these boards and discussing his other favorite subject which is High School Sports.
All I can say is that his fantasy life where he is a pediatric psychiatrist, a woman business owner, an FBI agent and regular working class people must be really rewarding for him. He must have no love interest, no family and no hobbies. He probably lives at his miserable little office and has to read the most horrible reports every day before they get into print and it has eroded his mind and his conscience. What a pathetic person to be at the controls of the local paper. Now I can see how the local paper takes so much glee in a fallen Assemblyman or any other scandal... It just takes the attention away from their little fun and corruption.
Screw the Journal News... I will never pay a cent to support this wacky publication again.
