Readers, this is a variation of the 'nigerian' scam where vast profits are promised for little or no work. The next step after replyingto this eamil is for the unwitting victim to send bank account details to the fictitious company.
I live in Australia - and hence have a '. Au' suffix on the end of my email address. These criminals used this to concoct a hardly believable story.
I will be replying to this person - pretending to be interested - and at the same time keeping a record of all the IP addresses in the email headers. This information is invaluable - as it gives authorities a physical location to trace the culprits to.
For example - the original sender for the email traces to:

The server IP address is 201.143.39.61
This traces it to somewhere in Baja California - a long way from Kiev isn't it?
