I do not own an automobile, nor do I have a driver's license. Drive America made me a member for its Auto Club without any authorization. I have contacted Driver America 3 times. Their customer representative told me that 30-day free membership was marketed to all members in January. Frankly, I was away in China until Feb. 12. I did not pick up my mails until 2/15.
I had been away since Oct. 2005. I had never known/needed such membership until first credit bill hit me in Mar. 2006. Drive Aemerica started charging since 2/18.
Since then, I have cancelled my Sears Master card that forced this membership to me. Drive America had only refunded me one out of two $6.95 monthly charges. With one monthly charge and late fee, I owe $23.02 to Sears Master card. Please help me fight off such senseless rip-off targeted seniors. Without any authorization, Drive America is targeting anyone and charges $6.95/month at will.
Both Drive America and Sears MasterCard are associated with Citigroup. Citigroup is such a giant, but it should not rip-off innocent people at will.
