Saranac Lake Police Chief Donald Perryman:
Covered the fact that two officers, One a sergeant-Nason and the other Casey Reardon an officer were both drinking the day they came back from a training session in Albany. They crashed the patrol car and said it was to swerve from hitting a deer. Well seeings the accident was out of Saranac Lake jurisdiction, I find it unsettling to find out that Saranac Lake Police were dispatched and retrieved the two officers. The New York State Police were later notified, but the two officers were never interrogated by N.Y.S.P. Until next day. The Essex County D.A. Garcia is investigating this fiasco. Cops drunk while serving! I deem this as ridiculous and the both of them need to be fired. I also see the Chief needs firing as well! Don Perryman is more than likely doing this to get on the good side of his officers. He is not well liked.
