So called schedualed lane that 3 drivers and myself ran for Werner ran from northern Ca to Elko Nv and return.
In Elko, 2 drivers from Salt Lake City would meet us where we would swap loads for return to norcal. Dispite inability of dispatch to get me home with any kind of predictability along with regular and lengthly delays waiting for loads with peanuts for compensation, the 4 of us from norcal put up with the poorly run operation because we liked the run.
By peanuts i mean10 to 20 hrs waiting to load east and being paid $0 to $40.By poorly run i mean load assignments rarely considered location of variouse trucks and hours available each truck could run. Result was many extra unpaid miles wasted time available for us to get job done.
Despite this we ran the loads. Reality was almost 20% cut in gross pay as a result of new pay schedual.insult was handed to us via Q-com. Because of the way cut was structured we were lockecxd in at lowest end of sliding pay scale.
Drivers on this lane were all veterins at werner, up to 15years averaging about 5yrs with werner. Our new pay was equal to new right out of box rookies. Along with increase in "take backs" health and other insurance, my net, take home pay, wads cut nearly 30%!
I said no to their thanks and turned in trk 32312 in Stockton Ca
