Unfortunately I used to work for this company and I am not at all a bitter employee, the owner is actually a nice guy and I left on my own terms with no hard feelings. With that said, I honestly can not imagine a past customer writing a postive review of the Partner Moving experience, for as I mentioned I used to work for them and I, myself was left dealing with disgruntled customers daily (which is one of the many reasons why I quit).
This owner is your typical salesman, so take heed to "if it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is." First off, all of the packing supplies are 100% inflated, so much so that it should be illegal. They dont, (we were instructed not too) tell you how much the boxes are going to cost, and they use as many as they can, without filling them completely just to bulk the price. Do ask to see the price list before giving them the green light.
Secondly, if you visit the website, you may be left with the impression that its a first class national moving company... ITS NOT!!! The guy actually rents trucks from enterprise and budget, and now I think he has bought an old clunker. Then he hires drivers and recruites at the local Home Depots for workers that he can pay under the table, therefore not having to declare all of his income for tax purposes.
Thirdly, they will break things; unintentionally I am sure, but nevertheless they will, the driver is usually the only English speaker, so the communication. Unless you are well versed in Spanish, is zilch. Sadly enough you will not be ware of your broken items until they are long gone, b/c they dont tell you when they are aware something is broken.
Fourth, they dont work fast, it will take at least 7-10 hours to load when it should take maybe 4-6 hours, and they will unload very very slowly. REMEMBER they are getting paid by the hour. And the estimate that whomever that sales person gave you. Well that was just an ESTIMATE, and that is how they really get you. They dont gaurantee the estimate or quote, they just tell you what you want to hear and obviously its not what you will see when they arrive or leave. They get paid by the hour, so it suites them to work slower and rest often, which the will.
If anyone is reading this and can relate to what is mentioned, then do speak up and out about your experience, I know you all are all out there and you all should put an end to this sham, b/c its 100% disgraceful and frankly I am surprised that he is still in business today.
I left the company a while ago and only worked there for a few months but was on my way to being his right hand man, even was with him when he went seeking an attorney, one who frankly told him flat out that he would not assist him in running an illegal business and warned him about the generic contracts he uses are most likely not enforceable b/c of his illegal workers amongst other false pretenses and violations.
Again, it is everyone's freedom of choice, so if you choose to go with Partner moving, just be aware and alert to some of the things that I have mentioned... And at least haggle for a NOT TO EXCEED PRICE to try and protect yourself from being PRICED GORGED to death.
