EAA - Entrepeneurs Across America
Ripoff

In August a young man approached me and my fiance as we were in our garage celebrating my birthday.

He was selling magazines and only had to sell a few more subcriptions in order to get this trip he's been waiting for. He stated he was in competition with another co-worker on this and he wanted to be the one first in line for this vacation.

We didn't want to hear anymore and I was in a great mood, I didn't want this young man to ruin my day. We said we weren't interested in buying anything, he insisted and didn't stop. He was very energetic and was very detailed.

Needless to say we broke down and purchased two magazines totaling $79.00. He asked for cash upfront, but I knew better than that due to the fact you can't trace your money once it leaves your pocket.

I stated I didn't carry cash and he would have to accept a personal check. He accepted it and not to mention it was cashed a few days later.

A few weeks went by and I didn't hesitate to call this company. I wanted to know how long the wait was for these magazines and I wanted to be sure I had a name with my phone call.

The office manager's name was Keitha and she stated that it would take 4-8 weeks before I'd get the first issues. I figured, since I spoke to someone we may get the magazines.

I called back in September (16th) I spoke to Keitha once again and the conversation went on for 15 minutes or so. I indicated I was no longer engaged and didn't want to purchase the Bridal magazine, nor did I want the magazine for my ex-fiance.

She told me it wasn't a problem and all she needed me to do was fax over proof of payment/debit and she would refund me my money for the one magazine for me ex-fiance. I've tried calling since then, but to receive a voicemail system again, but they don't call back.

I have copies of my receipts, phone logs from my employer, but somehow I feel to blame for this. It was a day of celebration, only to find out it was ruined by these "Scam Artists"!

Please find these theives! They need to be stopped before anyone else is suckered!
