November 30, I received a phone call from Christine, She's a telemarketer for E-Proauctions. She explained, that her call was simply to offer me free software that could assist me with selling products on Ebay. I told her I did not need the software because I was alredy selling on Ebay. She insisted the software was free and I had nothing to lose. How could I refuse "FREE"? She said that I would have to use a credit card to pay for the shipping and handling charges of $4.95. Ok!
That same evening, I received an email from e-proauctions with a link to their website.
By December 13, I still had not received my free software from e-proauctions. I logged onto to their website to track my free software. That's when I noticed they had enrolled me in their sellers program. This program automatically chrages your credit card $49.95 monthly, without your authorization.
I sent an email to customer support stating that I had never authorized them to enroll me in the sellers program or to charge my credit card $49.95 monthly. I received an email from customer support stating that I would have to call 1-800-530-3813 or 330-270-5670 to cancel. I called. "what a joke that was". I then went online to checked my credit card activity. Yes, I had been charged $4.95 for the software, I still had not rececived, as well as an additional charge of $49.95 for a program I did not need, want or enroll into.
I then logged onto consumer complaintss and read the report on e-proauctions. I want to take a moment to thank the Editor for the outstanding advice. "THANK YOU" so much, your advice it really does work. Again, I contacted e-proauctions. This time the $49.95 charge was removed immediately.
However, 3 days later, on December 16, there it was again. These toads had re-charged my credit card. I then contacted my bank and the credit card company. The charges have sinced be removed and I had to cancel my credit card and I filed a credit dispute and fraud report against e-proauctions. Additionally, I have never received the free software.
Please, everyone reading this, "DO NOT DO BUSINESS" with e-proauctions, and never, ever give your credit card number to anyone over the phone. Also, be very suspicious if your credit card is the only way to pay.
