Well these people are still at it. They call and say that they wish to speak to the person in charge of the copier to reportan increase in the price of toner. If they don't get the Purchasing dept, they call back to get names of other people in other departments, call for those people, then have whomever answers the phone transfer them to the Purchasing Dept.
When they find there is a "Guard Dog" on the phones who is on to them (such as myself) they call back a week or two later asking for Human Resources and say that they want to talk to them regarding business management training. Then they call asking for Accounting.
If they ask you for Accounting, ask them for the invoice number they are calling about. They will hang up immediately. They will call and call trying to get names and especially someone in Purchasing.
Why in the hell aren't they shut down by the BBB? Be smart when answering the phones and ask questions. They are pretty smart and answer quickly because they are trained to do so. You will eventually get one that slips up and you'll know the call is a phoney (pardon the pun).
