During construction, in April we found 2 feet of water in our basement. We notified the builder, his project manager and the realtor. We were told that once our drains and gutters were installed and once our lot had its final grading that we would be OK. Two months after we moved into our brand new house, we got 3 feet of water in our basement. We immediately notified the builder, his project manager and the realtor. The project manager pulled a plug (for our future bathroom) which allowed the water to drain. We lost our furnace, our hot water heater and all of our personal items that we had stored in our basement. Not only does the builder not want to pay for all of our loses but he does not want to honor his own warranty and fix the problem either.
