Will not cover damage they agreed to cover due to Dexcool, Mike Sobh's inadequacy Ripoff

We purchased a new 1996 GMC Jimmy from Mike Sobh early in 1997 with minimal miles. Had all oil changes, etc. Done at Sobh's. Began to hear noises in the dash in 2003. Sobh's flushed the radiator 3 times with the sound getting worse. We were now up to $700 with no resolution to the problem. Service Advisor, Mike Ansheutz said the problem was fixed when the vehicle was picked up by my husband. My husband took Mr. Ansheutz for a drive and saw the surprised look on his face. We were told to bring the truck back in again. My husband was leaving for Florida and I asked to speak with Mike Sobh. He called that afternoon and he said he spoke with the Service Advisors and Mechanics and they had decided (finally) that it was the heater coil and that it would be replaced at no charge to us. He asked to have my husband call him upon his return from FL which he did. We have never heard from Mike Sobh again.

We then lost the heat over the winter and found out there was transmission fluid in the oil. We then replaced the transmission, heater coil, radiator and water pump, all due to this original problem. We are in the process of litigation with Lou Sobh's. Their attorney ($300/hr) told our attorney that even if we won a $1.00 reward they would appeal. We have been unable to find any mechanic that will appear to describe these problems (even the guys that fixed our truck). These problems are widely documented on the Web and there are several class action suits in progress. Our attorney told me that Sobh's have probably shredded any pertinent documents regarding this case. We did file a piece on WSB-tv (channel 2, Atlanta) regarding this problem which I hope some people saw and heeded but I could not mention the dealer's name due to the possibility of litigation. I also have the satisfaction of knowing that through word of mouth, Sobh's has lost a $250,000 truck contract with a fairly large company. Sometimes little people's words DO get through to bigger people.

Beware!!!
