Yesterday which was nov 5th my wife recieved a call on my cell phone at around 10am. I just so happened to be in the shower when she told me their is some foreigh accented guy on the phone claiming i won 12500 dollars. And right off the bat i thought to my self great another tellamarketer. I grabbed the phone and asked the guy what kind of s$%# is he trying to sale. He asured me nothing he said i was one of 500 people selected in the united states to recieve a 12500 dollar grant for free. I told him you got to be kidding me you really think im going to fall for that.
Well he onvinced me its because i pay my taxes every year and he needs my checking account number and routing number. He said this is how it will go.in 48hours i will recieve the money in my account and after that someone will call me and make sure i got it and then they would take a $50 deposit fee out. Then in 4 to 5 days i will recieve some paper work so i asked the guy to let me speak to his manager and he let me speak to his so called supervisor which sounded like his arab brother almost identical. Th supervisor said if i dont belive them to take all the money out of my checking account and wait to see so i believed him and gave them all my info. Then they said a person from us bank will call me in 2 minutes to verify my info. Well two minutes went by and sure enough the phone rang i picked it up an it sounded like the same guy i was already talking to he gave me some sort of ID# and recorded everything i then go to thinking why dont they just mail the money to me and i asked the arab accent guy and he said it cant be done i then said well screw that you guys are trying to rip me off and i told them i will close my account first thing and hung up wow
Then i found this web site and read many exact same complaints from other people so i called my bank and told them what happened and they went to this site and couldnt believe it i closed my account... This is rediculise i will do something about it i am a us marine and will not stand for this please if anyone can help me find who these people are or if i can help or anything please thank you and please be careful and be aware dont ever give info like that over the phone why because regardless it can be done by mail dont le them tell you it cant
