Jcomskymedia produces a book called American Business Resources
They contacted one of our administrative assistants and indicated that they were confirming that we wanted our name taken off their list at the end of the year. She confirmed this assuming that there was no harm. The next day they call back to confirm a shipping address for our final American Business Resources book.
They asked leading questions in an attempt to get someone to agree that they are authorized to make purchases for the company. The stated reason for the call was for a cancellation so there should not have been a reason to confirm our assistant as an authorized purchaser.
Now we get a book and a bill for $ 389.90. I spoke with a representative who said she could replay the calls for me. When she calls back, she can only replay the second call.
When I protest, she wants to settle the matter for $ 129. I told her that we would be sending the book and the invoice back to SkyMedia.
This is a scam by JCOM SkyMedia. We are a small Christian school in Columbus, GA. We would never have placed an ad in a national business resource book.
