I too am a victim of this scam artist. A few years back (1999 I believe) I put a (music) keyboard on Ebay for auction. When it didn't meet my reserve, Will Berlin (at the time [email protected]) emailed me to ask if I'd like to sell it to him for $50 under the reserve, which was $600. I agreed and shipped it to him. It was my mistake in doing both of these things, as he never sent the check he was supposed to. I emailed him and was given a bunch of 'you should at least let me try it to make sure it works", etc emails back. He also told me he was a lawyer and knew his rights, that I couldn't sue him for the money. I was so embarrased about all of this I never told anyone. A few days later I decided to call him. A woman answered the phone and I asked to speak with him. She replied "He's not here, does he owe you money?" I explained the situation (knowing full well at this point that I would never see my money) and she said she'd give him the message. Two days later the number was changed. This [expletive] needs to be stopped. I'm so glad I came across this website.
