A High School boy came to my door selling magazines and I ended up buying a subscription to People Magazine to help him. I specifically asked the boy if he had People Magazine, and he said yes. Well, turns out that Great Lake Circulation does not work with People Magazine, so the very next day I canceled my subscription.
To my surprise, yesterday I received a letter from a debt collector, saying that they will turn my information to the District Attorney's Office. Give me a break. I know better than that. Consumers have 3 days to cancel a contract when a sales person comes to his/her door.
