On 7/24/05, my debit card was charged $9.00 from a company called Reservation Rewards.
My husband and I watch our account very carefuly to make sure things like this do not happen. So I am happy that we caught it as soon as we did. The only problem with this is we have no idea what this company is.
So I did a google search on them, and found this website with a complaint from a woman that stated the same company withdrew $9.00 a month for 10 months. I emailed the company and asked them to direct our money back into the checking account.
The emailed me back and stated they couldn't find our account information. I emailed back and told them that we never had an account with their company but that they have taken money out of our account.
Soon we realized what happened. My husband ordered two movie tickets online through Moviephone.com and when he finished printing the tickets out a screen popped up and said that he will be saving money on movie tickets. So our credit card information (nothing else) must have been transfered to this "Rewards" company without our OK.
This is a warning to all who use Moviephone.com as well.
I will be contacting that company shortly as well.
